🌶️ spicy Mexican hot chocolate 🍫 Did you know Mexican chocolate isn’t eaten in it’s whole form like we do in Europe/US? Chocolate bars are un conched giving them a gritty bitter texture. At it’s most basic, it is made from coarsely ground cacao, granulated sugar & cinnamon. Sometimes chiles, nuts & spices can be added which is what I did today in this spicy rustic recipe. Fun fact, Mexican chocolate bars are always rounded, never in rectangular bars •••
Mix some Mexican dark chocolate with milk, chili powder, cinnamon, vanilla & a little coconut sugar on heat until dissolved. Let the chocolate sit for 10 minutes then serve.
